    What Is a Gearbox?

    A gearbox is the mechanical system of an automobile that allows a vehicle to change gear smoothly. This arrangement of gears is highly complex, which helps to provide a smooth gear change.     Gearboxes help drivers choose the appropriate gear for the conditions. A lower gear produces the least speed, while a higher gear gives the maximum torque.
